Our STEM Field Trips offer an array of activities designed to captivate young minds and foster a love for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Each STEM field trip includes a total of 3 activities. This includes “My Plate Nutrition” and “Giant Pizza Math” activities and you can choose one other activity based on your students’ knowledge level.
- My Plate Nutrition: Students learn about the various food groups & understand the importance of eating a balanced diet. *Activity included for all groups
- Giant Pizza Math: Students engage with a giant pizza as they solve problems and sharpen their math skills. It’s a fun activity that incorporates counting, addition, subtraction and more! *Activity is included for all groups with selection of desired math level (Primary = basic addition and subtraction, secondary = fractions, intermediate = percentages, advanced = decimals)
- Additional activity options:
- Game Room Scavenger Hunt: Using their learnings and investigative skills, students find shapes in our game room. As they hunt down each figure, they’ll complete a worksheet on shapes & colors. *Recommended for Primary group
- Soda Preferences & Bar Graphing: Through this engaging activity, student scientists learn to use various tools to gather information, illustrate their findings and represent data. *Recommended for secondary, intermediate, and advanced groups
- Pizza Engineering: Working in teams, students discover how to make a perfectly round pizza, using only string, pencil, tape, and a ruler! *Recommended for intermediate and advanced groups
At Peter Piper Pizza, we understand the importance of providing a well-rounded experience for our young learners. That’s why each field trip includes time for lunch and arcade play, allowing students to refuel and recharge before diving back into the excitement of STEM education. With a duration of 2.5-3 hours, our field trips are designed to maximize learning while ensuring plenty of time for hands-on exploration and fun.
Teachers and chaperones are also treated to a special experience during the field trip. They’ll receive one complimentary medium drink with free refills, ensuring they stay refreshed throughout the day.
